Some may wonder why I power walk.
Compulsively, through wind, rain, snow, and of course amazing sunshine.
I walk, and I share out of gratefulness and
wonder.
Because the miracle is that I still walk.
For weeks, unable to
walk, the scare of youth paralysis.
That’s why I power walk.
And a doctor's heed: Age 40s paralysis might
return.
That’s why I power walk.
Aggressive cancer and its lengthy nightmare.
That’s why I power walk.
Another doctor’s heed: Cancer’s return means
certain death.
That’s why I power walk.
And bouts of depression and brain fog.
That’s why I power walk.
Pressing through injuries, pain, and sometimes negativity, to live fully, for my
family.
That’s why I power walk.
He is the air that I breathe.
He is my stable base.
God's grace is why I live.
His leading is why I move and still have
my being.
Given second and third chances at life.
That's why I must make. time. to power walk.
